Believing everything you read

So Paul Graham has a new essay up about what businesses can learn about open source. Yeah, yeah, everyone's probably already seen that it was posted to slashdot.

Reading the article, it all seemed to make sense and sound like it's full of really great ideas.

This led me to thinking... are they actually great ideas, or is it just his very assertive-sounding writing style. I mean... he makes a point, then pre-emptively picks on a couple low-hanging rebuttals. I'm pretty sure he hasn't covered every case, but decisively attacking a couple of the obvious ones gives the impression of being very right.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm not attacking the validity of his claims. For all I know, he could be right. He could also be terribly wrong. I'm just questioning whether my initial reaction of accepting his claims is biased by his writing style (well, yes... but the question is if the bias is too strong, so as to overcome my objectivity).
